1. The service
Papmil is an early hosted proof of concept for processing PDFs through an ordered workflow. The current Standard workflow resizes a PDF, runs OCR, attempts to split a mixed scan into separate documents, and suggests filenames for the results.
2. Accounts and credits
An account is required to process and retrieve results. You are responsible for account security and accurate contact information. The current free plan grants two initial workflow credits that expire after two weeks. No paid-plan or payment promise should be included until purchasing and fulfilment are live.
3. Your documents
You retain ownership of documents you upload. You give Papmil only the limited permission needed to store, copy, analyze, transform, and return those documents while providing the service.
You must have the right to upload and process the documents. Do not use Papmil for illegal material, malware, abusive activity, unauthorized access, or documents whose processing would violate another person's rights.
4. Review automated results
OCR can be wrong. Document boundaries can be wrong. A filename can be incomplete or misleading. Always review the results and keep your original documents. Papmil does not provide legal, accounting, compliance, archival, or records-management assurance.
5. File deletion
Source, intermediate, and result files are automatically deleted 30 days after the workflow finishes. You are responsible for downloading and safely retaining anything you need before deletion. Non-file workflow history may remain.
6. Availability and changes
Papmil is experimental and may fail, change, pause, or stop. Features, limits, tools, and models may change. The service is provided on an “as available” basis without a promise of uninterrupted processing.
7. Suspension
Papmil may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, documents, infrastructure, or the service; investigate misuse; or comply with law.
8. Intellectual property
The Papmil name, visual identity, and application are protected by their applicable rights. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses and rights.
9. Liability and legal details
Appropriate warranty disclaimers, liability limits, mandatory consumer protections, the contracting entity, governing law, and dispute venue must be completed and reviewed before these terms are published.
